A Language Makes A Country A Home

— The European language day is a special day when countries from all around Europe get together to show appreciation towards the various languages spoken all across the continent. My school, just like many others, took the celebration quite seriously, planning all kinda of special quizzes, quests and mini games with the goal to show the beauty of languages spoken in Europe
— The event took place on September 26, in the main hall of the school. There were multiple stands filled with various activities, but the participants had one main goal: collect all of the stickers. The students would make teams of four players or less and would go around to each of the stands, completing different kinds of interesting tasks in order to collect all eight stickers. The games were fun, but not too demanding, most anyone could finish them without major complications. Once the team successfully acquires all of the stickers, they would return to the first stand to have their accomplishments approved by the professors. The rewards included things such as bracelets, pens, bookmarks, and of course, good grades.
— I personally enjoyed the activities, but there are a few things I’d like to change. For an example, I would’ve liked it if there was an equal amount of activities for all languages. Most stands only focused on English, French and German, which isn’t bas, but I think there should’ve been a little more dedication put into other languages such as Italian, Russian or Spanish. Other than that, I was quite satisfied with the event and would love to participate again next year.
